Great for the first 2 months!

Worked well for a period of time then the pressure dropped to barely enough to pump out a cup of espresso.....this was my second one after returning my first after just 2 months for the exact same issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has quirks but makes good espresso and frothy milk

This makes very good espresso for the money. However, you do need to run hot water for about 8 seconds (as recommended by Casabrews) before pulling a shot. In addition, when you go to steam/froth your milk of choice, a fair amount of hot water comes out of the wand before the steam starts. I have perfected operations by having a cup catch the water and then put the milk pitcher under the steaming wand just before the steam starts. If you want a no fuss espresso maker then this isn't the one. If you want a very good for the money espresso machine and are willing to work through the quirks, I highly recommend

I think I love it

I sorta wish I bought a bigger model after doing some more research. However, this machine is pretty fantastic all things considered and is great for any level of coffee maker. I used to be a barista so I have my preferences and I think a different model may suit me better but the quality of the machine is great and I can easily put this in my trailer and take it camping. Who doesn't love a latte waking up in the woods?

Yes, I'm that guy. I roast my own bean, grind it with a commecial grinder, and my primary espresso machine is an Italian made prosumer machine. Think coffee shop quality. For the last 4 years, my wife and I have started doing more traveling in our RV, so I decided to look for a small espresso machine that would give a close experience to my home unit. I think I found a great compromise with the Casabrews machine. Granted it isn't close in quality of my prosumer, but what do you expect at this price point. However, the quality of the espresso from this machine is remarkably good. This machine will do well at getting me by until I return home with only a little sacrifice.

We absolutely LOVED this thing when we received it in December, but it just stopped working on us. It’s no longer heating up the water + we’re not sure why. This was our first time using this brand. I don’t know if it’s just defect with ours or if it’s just not that great long term. Either way, 7 months is not that long so I was very surprised when it stopped working. We’re hoping to replace it but they are pricey.

So I say ‘Almost’ because while this is a gorgeous machine- the biggest issue I have is that the locking and unlocking of the actual coffee grounds holder is stiff so you have to physically hold the machine with one hand while you lock or unlock the holder into place. Very annoying but not much can be done. I have it on a silicone gorilla mat to keep it non slip on the coffee bar and that helps a little.

Filter and loaded issues

The coffee machine works well and I happy with it but the portafilter is not good quality. After using it and washing it a few times, the aluminum went grey and started leaving black residue when I touched it. It became unusable and I had to throw it away. Really disappointing and also, I don’t whats happening now that I used to used the filter for 2 cups and it used to filled completely up my mug and now it’s just filling up the middle of the mug. That’s strange
