I have been hunting out of my TENT CHAIR for two seasons now. I have a single and two person version. I prefer the single hunter version even though it is tight on space. The blind is very portable and quick to set up. The only things I would like to see improved is a better carrying bag with improved shoulder straps and incorporate the one way see through mesh on the front upper section to increase the field of view. Even the way it currently is being sold it is hands down my preferred hunting blind. It has converted me from a life long tree stand hunter to now hunting off the ground 80% of the time. I have taken my two best whitetails out of a TENT CHAIR and had my two most successful seasons over my 35 years of hunting whitetails.

I bought my single tent chair a couple years ago to use for a wide range of hunts. Whether it's deer, turkey, bear, duck...etc it works great for concealment and it's easy to setup/ takedown. The only issues I had with the blind is it doesn't come with, or an option to buy, a fitted blaze orange tarp/cover. I live in Wisconsin and when you hunt on public land, the blind needs to have a certain amount of visible blaze orange. I did remedy this issue myself with Plasti Dip Blaze paint. But, I would push for Ameristep to add a blaze orange flag, hopefully a stowaway velcro version, to the blind in the near future. Last thing is the overall quality is great. It works as it should and I've had zero malfunctions. I would like to see a version with a little heavier material though...if possible. It gets pretty cold here in WI, a thermal version would blow my mind. I'm sure the weight would increase quite a bit, but it would totally be worth it. O and I also agree with the above...or below guys review about beefing up the carrying bag. Even if you sold a special separate bag with better shoulder straps...etc I'm buying it. Hope this review helps and have a great day.

I’ve used them for past 6 years . Only wish they held up better in the high winds and harsh sun here in Texas . I put it up and do not take it down . Each has lasted about one year each . But, like I said we have very high winds and the sun tears down the fabric will the wind tears it apart . You can put it up for a hunting g season but I would remove it at the end if you plan to use it next year. I’m 77 and the chair blind fits my needs greatly .

I have owned Ameristep chair blinds since they first became available. They are easy to transport, and setup. They offer concealment and comfort in most weather conditions. There could be a couple improvements which would make a difference. One would be a more sturdier chair, with a larger tube frame. The weak point is where the pivot and riveting takes place, at the armrest section. Another change would be a sturdier bag, with straps.

I owned this blind for about 3 years, overall liked it, I would purchase another one if it had a good sale on it. Pros: price, weight, setup Cons: nothing on the blind is built to last. Year one it worked pretty great, after that the arms to the chair began to bend I would guess from us leaning one way or the other but it caused the blind to not rest correctly shooting window would be more facing the ground so you would continuously bend the chair arms back or reach behind your chair and try to pull the blind back down. By year 3 the arm on the chair snapped clean off and blind was unable to be used. I would recommend using a shooting stick but it's even less room then you already have because the window will not support a shotgun or crossbow. Overall, if you want a quick and easy blind to bounce spot to spot and you are ok with shooting one direction, and not having a lot of room or if you're on a budget this is a good blind. Realistically this blind will probably last you a few years with good use.
