It's not that hard to remove the casing, it's a 6TB model WD60EDAZ-11U78B0, white label (nor blue, red or black). Now I can use the hdd internally and have an external hdd case. I even test it out with a different Seagate size hdd with the case, works perfectly fine.

I picked up this external drive to transfer all my PS4 games over to as I will pick Up a PS5 this year and this drive has met all my expectations so far. I definitely recommend it.

I always go for the Western Digital Elements external hard drives for my backups. They are dependable, and work every time. What's also great is that this model does not bother using encryption. So if something happens to the casing, I can simply pull the drive and extract the data without any trouble. I highly recommend this drive if you're looking for dependable backup storage.

I bought this external hard drive to store my personal data as well as my daughter school art work.
I was very impressed by data transfer speed. 1TB in about 30 minutes (initially it showed more than 6 hours ).
All in all in all I made a good buy.

Don’t waste your money!

I purchased this hard drive to store files off of my laptop and after I moved most of my files from laptop to this storage device It stopped working and I cannot retrieve any of my files. I contacted WD support and the only thing they could tell me that the drive was bad. It work for a total of two hours, total waste of money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received my 2 WD Elements desktop hard drives and wanted to start to use one of them, but I could not find any written instructions to help me use the product so I am not able to use it.

My first Hard drive over 6TB, got to say what a great price, drive is fast, I am very happy with this drive, no issues, easy to setup...yahoo :-)
