I purchased this thinking that it was better than

Since day one in my brand new pc i9 13900k Gigabyte mobo z790, gskil 6400 ram and my old 3080 and it is not possible the controller gives an error: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort1. and then it makes my computer have a kernell error and reboots it is freaking annoying and since i am overseas it already went over the return period so i am stuck with a drive that is no good to me. I wish i would have read a review regarding this issue and YOU dont seem to be getting a controller update in the near future. And it is the drive not my pc i have never had a boot error before installing this drive not once and the cpu is not OC. If you know a fix please contac me becuase if it is fixable i will still us it if not i just dont know if it will go with the trash.

Decided to try it out, didn't work out

As ridiculous as it is, we ordered this for one of our technicians to use on his laptop, while it was considerably overkill for what it was going to be used for, I thought it best to try and get the best for them so they aren't sitting there twiddling their thumbs waiting for our AV programs to load. Unfortunately the IT company that we gave this to reported to us that the SSD was bad and despite troubleshooting it was non-functional. I usually go for samsung SSDs as I've had a really good history using their parts and decided maybe it was worth it to try out WD stuff but it seems like I'll be sticking to samsung SSDs for future upgrades.

Too slow

The 2TB SN850X NVMe does not perform to the advertised 7000 Mb/s rate. WD website is not user friendly enough to find if there is a driver that needs installation to operate the SN850X as an external on a Mini Mac M2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got a defective product

This drive was unusable from the start, my laptop would not recognize the ssd at all so it would not format it. I removed my old ssd and tried to use this ssd as main, windows was able to "fix" this issue during repair... everything worked after that, then i installed a program to check the speed of this ssd. It would NOT give me the 7300 advertised, instead i got 3710.92 and bellow. With that said, I decided to return this product. I think they sent me a defective product
