[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Halo's LT Direct Mount with Baffle Trim is a one & done project. No need for a housing because it's a direct mount system. If you are comfortable working with electricity, this direct mount lighting system is easy to install and you do not need a housing to do so.
The unit is well made and the directions are easy to follow.
I do recommend this lighting system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of recessed lighting. Especially when they are not the cans and LED. This is a great affordable light that can be adjusted. Recommend for rooms you don't need a fan or don't want a lamp! It's smooth and out of the way!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this light for a nook in my workshop. It can be used in both new construction or in a remodel, depending upon your situation. I found it quite easy to install. The light has a baffle trim and gives off a lot of light for a 6 inch radius. Very happy with my purchase.

Easy to install useful features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality light that is easy to install. First off you will need to cut a hole wherever you plan on mounting this light. It takes a six inch hole. There is a template to help you cut it out. Make sure you have the proper wire ran, it should be at least 12 gauge wire. There is a junction box that you need to connect your wire to and mount close by. This is how you select your brightness. After that you connect the junction box to the light and mount the light in the hole. It can get very bright if you want although I use the low power setting. I like the design it's very modern and will fit in with any new build house. Halo is a very well known and high quality brand so this light should last for a long while. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to update the look of their lights or install new ones.
