[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The residential HALO 4" LT Direct Mount Downlight with three customizable color temperatures, checks all of the boxes for a recessed LED light. Following the step by step instructions along the accompanying printed pamphlet the installation was easy especially without the necessity of using a housing, while the operation was uncomplicated. Uniform illumination and sufficient brightness elevated the bathroom by adding a modern, minimalist appearance (the trim sat flush against the ceiling so it looked seamless without needing to caulk it in). In short, quick installation, superb quality and elegant styling makes Halo 4" LT Direct Mount Downlight one of the best recessed lights for flat ceilings!

great canless light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used many of Halo's 6" direct mount led lights before, when I needed a smaller one, choosing this one was an easy decision. Install is very straight forward with bringing your wire(s) into the box (you provide the cable connector for the box) and wire them up. I typically use a larger wire nut than the one provided. The switch to change the light temperature is inside the transformer box so make sure you set it to your desired color before install or it will be harder to access. What I like best about this light is that the trim looks more like your standard can light with the lens being pushed up above the rim of the trim. It's not flat like some led lights. Overall a great light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A nice recessed light for a clean, modern look. I install lights like these all the time so, of course I found the installation very easy. If you do not have any experience with this, I would recommend hiring a pro. The light itself is well built, it has a sleek design and a very cool feature is the ability to choose the color between 3k, 4k and 5k. It is also dimmable. If this one fits the size and shape you need, give it a try!

Easy to install useful features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality light that is easy to install. First off you will need to cut a hole wherever you plan on mounting this light. It takes a six inch hole. There is a template to help you cut it out. Make sure you have the proper wire ran, it should be at least 12 gauge wire. There is a junction box that you need to connect your wire to and mount close by. This is how you select your brightness. After that you connect the junction box to the light and mount the light in the hole. It can get very bright if you want although I use the low power setting. I like the design it's very modern and will fit in with any new build house. Halo is a very well known and high quality brand so this light should last for a long while. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to update the look of their lights or install new ones.

I found it quite easy to install. The light has a baffle trim and gives off a lot of light for a 6 inch radius. Very happy with my purchase.
