I bought my Cordless Dremel to do touch-up work on tools, but it lasted 2 days before it broke. Either it is the switch or the battery. After charging it will run but don't turn it off because it will not turn back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about 2 months ago & I'm more than happy I decided to splurge on myself. I love etching glass and this makes it so smooth and almost effortless causing my etchings to turn out flawless. I haven't quite figured out the Bluetooth thing yet but that's because I'm not really into all that tech stuff. I actually love this model the best it's definitely my favorite out of all the other ones I also own all 4 of them lol. I love it so much in fact that I had to get my bestie one as well. He also prefers it to the other 2 he owns

My first Dremel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first Dremel 8240 to use it around the house for Light work. I would say the over all product itself is good but could few improvements. The plastic looks and feels really cheap, the screws that holds it weren’t tight so I could see a gap at the creases. Over all performance is good. Very powerful indeed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soft case the tool came in has extra room for accessories and other items. The tool has a great feel in your hand. Nice to have the variable speed. The accessories are good. The battery charges fast and the run time is good. Overall a great tool to add to my tool chest.

Lots of power for a power tool, wired or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a Dremel (wired) for years and I always thought that wireless tools just weren't powerful enough . . .I was wrong. This is about as powerful as my corded Dremel, and it allows for more flexibility on where and how it can be used due to be cordless. My corded Dremel has it's purpose, but this newer 8240-5 also has a spot on my tool bench.
