This was able to replace my Dremel 4000 mainly due to the fact that I need to work on things away from an outlet and don’t want to bring an extension cable with me, the biggest pro to this beauty is that it is able to have the extendable, flexible shaft attached to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very well made dremel. it really works well for ingraving. im useing it to cut into my xbox controller and it working really well i like the fact that you can slow it down if you have a snag instead of haveing to cut it off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical that a cordless rotary tool could perform as well as a corded version, but to my surprise it was very powerful and the battery life was excellent. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to being confined to being close to a plug in. I needed to cut off some small rebarb that was sticking up from my drive way concrete and didn't want to have to drag an extension cord out. Just walked over with this new tool and within minutes, all cut off and didn't have to wind up the extension cord. I can tell, I'll be using this a lot more often than I thought.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the title, this is my favorite tool. The battery has an amazing charge. The attachments provided work quickly and efficiently. The carry case keeps everything in its place with enough space for additional items. Go get this now!

Lots of power for a power tool, wired or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a Dremel (wired) for years and I always thought that wireless tools just weren't powerful enough . . .I was wrong. This is about as powerful as my corded Dremel, and it allows for more flexibility on where and how it can be used due to be cordless. My corded Dremel has it's purpose, but this newer 8240-5 also has a spot on my tool bench.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soft case the tool came in has extra room for accessories and other items. The tool has a great feel in your hand. Nice to have the variable speed. The accessories are good. The battery charges fast and the run time is good. Overall a great tool to add to my tool chest.
