Case was recommended specific to my Thinkpad P51s, I had issues finding aftermarket cases that would fit the computer snugly as it is a sleeve I will use when traveling through airport security. In a nutshell it is too large in all dimensions and fits very loosely around the computer, so it provides little shock prevention as the computer is able to slide around in it. Wish I could buy a Mac for work....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
