Brand name is not enough. I am disappointed.

When there is fluorescent lighting, the camera image is very vibrant. Even the laptop camera and the mobile camera give a better picture.
There is no software to adjust the brightness separately.
Built-in microphone is also a disappointment, as I realized while using zoom and skype meeting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to connect but the FOV is too wide for use in rooms with 10+ feet of space behind the person at the camera, and the quality seems to vary for no discernable reason even in the camera app. It does hold up on video calls and the sliding shutter is a nice touch. If you're looking to just get a camera on a budget this works great, but if you go up $20-40 there will be better offerings. Also if you go down even $10 you lose some quality, again very effective unit in the mid range
