Masters of the universe 80s toy is wonderful

Review of Masters of the Universe Panthor Figure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I am a huge Masters of the Universe and have been since I was a little girl! Getting to play with this toy hands on was very nice, having the detachable saddle was a great addition because we can versatility when playing. The high level of detail was pleasing to the eyes as well, the Panthor’s face and fur are highly prevalent and really do an amazing job portraying the actual character. I also really loved the movable limbs, allowing my child to pose the Panthor in anyway he wants makes it a lot more fun! The toy is extremely safe I feel for almost all ages, there are almost no small parts to worry about choking or getting hurt. Definitely a toy I would recommend to fellow MOTU fans, and the timing is perfect to have these toys and watch the latest MOTU show!!

Great accessory to add to your bad guy arsenal

He has other figures from this line and this was especially special because we have the other cat. Having this re-issue for my son to grow up with Masters of the Universe has been amazing to watch. The articulation in this figure is everything I dreamed of having and has given his imagination even more to grow with.

Fun toy to play as a battle companion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Master of the Universe. This toy is fun to play when other action figures are present during play. My son used a lot as a battle companion in the adventures of his action figures.
Panthor is made of a high grade plastic, sturdy with details, it can take some beating and sure to last.
Panthor mouth jaws can open really wide, allowing to grab other action figures legs and arms, It's a fun feature, it has enough articulations to allow some poses and movements, and just right for not to cause frustration to your kid. For my
experience playing with my son, when there is too many articulations points is hard to play without the toy changing position.
Mounting and Riding Panthor is a bit difficult, due to the action figures that I posses were not master of universe action figures.
Overall is a good toy.

Good toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child likes the toy, he plays with it. He also takes it with him when we go out. I Have washed it over and over, still looks like new. I do not have any problems with the toy. It is hard plactic and would not let it be around a baby or a toddling toddler. It can hurt if It was fallen on, also, it is not a pleaser to step on. Over all it is a good toy that can be a good sit and play for a minute to.

Both my kids love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my kids have grown to love He-Man the way I did when I was a kid. They have received other toys from this collection in the past and love playing with them all together. It brings me a lot of joy to see them playing with similar toys I played with as a child. I think these toys are well made and this one in particular has been a lot of fun. Definitely going to continue to purchase items from this collection in the future.

Skeletor rides in style on this classic cat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Masters of the Universe® Origins Panthor® Action Figure is obviously part of the Origins series, which is meant to bring back the classic original action figures from the 80s, but modernized with new articulation, styling, or materials. This Panthor figure does those things mostly well: it has 12 points of articulation vs. a whopping zero (0!) in the original figure from the 1980s; the fur etching and armor molding is well-done and matches the source material well; and the plastic used for the figure itself is solid and seems to be very durable.
The Origins Panthor figure does not have as much armor as He-Man's Battle Cat, but that is because it was designed to match the cartoon & original figure; Panthor had no helmet or additional armor beyond what is included here. The armored saddle itself holds tight and steady with a plastic strap with a buckle & peg closure, meaning that a Skeletor action figure (or any other characters of a similar size) will mostly stay in place and not cause the saddle to twist.
The rating was dropped one (1) star for the lack of flocking to mimic fur like the original figure (although I believe that is perhaps a certain store's exclusive feature). But mostly the loss of a star is because, despite the addition of hip and knee articulation, the lack of ankle articulation causes the feet to be placed into weird non-natural positions, which results in the figure slip-sliding around on a smooth surface rather than wanting to stay in place at times. The articulation is nice, but it does not always allow the cat to be placed into natural "battle positions" as the back of the box states. The jaw articulation is nice, though -- and allows the user to simulate a victory roar with ease!
Overall, it is a fun action figure with a lot of potential (certainly more-so than the original), but the articulation is a little less optimized than it could have been.

He Rocks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Skeletors Panther is so cool. It's very tough and durable. Bright vibrant colors. My son's really enjoyed this panther. He's given rides to many of our figurines. We take him every where from walks down to the park. In the car, and especially over friend for play dates. It wipes down, for easy cleaning. We highly recommend this Panther.
