Good for collectors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grew up with Mario, playing the games and watching the shows, so when my son started showing and interested I was excited that he wanted some Mario stuff for his room, when I saw this toy I thought it would be perfect because it looked cool and he could play with it. For starters there is slight assembly required but most of the part snap in easy and will stay together so you don’t have to worry about your kids pulling it apart when they play with it, the only part the would probably come off it the boo king, which moves back and forth kinda loosely. Play wise the idea is pretty cool where there is a track behind the doors that slide up and down and side to side and then the doors open to reveal Mario, the problem with this is you have to move it slowly or Mario falls over and gets caught up making it hard to move the slider. I do like the little boos the spin to reveal a scared boo on the other side which is very cute.Detail wise I thought this looks pretty good, it’s a lot dark in look than I expected but the stone and doors had small like crease and little bits of texture that make it still have that video game cartoon vibe but look more dimensional and looks really cool. I did notice that if you are in a bright room you can actually see some light through the door so if your kids are playing find Mario you can kinda tell what door he is behind because the door will look darker but that honestly isn’t a big deal. Though I wish this toy would have Mario with a fireball or something to show its fire Mario other than his outfit because I think new Mario fans might not know. Overall it’s not a bad toy it definitely looks cool it And my son does really enjoy it and has a special place in his room to display it so I think if you are a big Mario fan it might be worth getting.

nice idea but needs beefing up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great game idea for a younger child, but there needs to be more to it. Overall, I think the design is good as well as the quality. A couple doors popped off during play but it was nothing too terrible. I think this item in addition to other Nintendo Deluxe Mario Brothers sets would be perfect! give the child a little more to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for my kids to play with this and I ended up hogging it. It brought back so many memories of my childhood. With Mario popping up in different door and the Boos around the set, definitely brought joy to me. My children loved playing with the little elevator that moves Mario around. It would get stuck once in a while but only because Mario was not placed correctly in the door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that Mario is making a comeback and that my nephews love it! They are having tons of fun with this Mario mansion play set! It’s very sturdy and durable and can hold up to rough play. You can really use your imagination with this play set and even add more play sets and characters to it to make it even more fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Nintendo DLX BOO MANSION PLAYSET for free in exchange for a honest review. It seemed cool from the packaging. It is interactive, but it is not attention holding. Meaning it will be fun for a few minutes but after that my son was bored with it because it didnt do much. Would be cool if it was a little more interesting such as having sound affects added or something along those lines.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few weeks ago for my 5 year old. She loves Mario! It’s fun, it’s basically like a guessing game. You move the Mario from door to door and who ever is on the front side can try and guess where he’s at. Like i said it’s fun, just isn’t an everyday toy that’s being played with.
