Local outages are rare but power surges are commonplace. I've used this model for 15+ yrs and am amazed at how often it "clicks-in." It didn't fail. I'm opting to take advantage of any new UPS technology rather than simply and easily replacing the battery. For my situation, it's the perfect size, VA, wattage for home needs, easy to hook-up and operate, and has proven itself totally dependable during all sorts of weird, external electrical events, and so I'm replacing it with the exact same model.

Foot Print and Outlets are ALL Right!

Tripp-Lite has it!. Right foot print. Right size. Right numbers of outlets. I protect ALL electronics and stereo equipment and expensive sewing machines. All Tripp-Lite.

Very affordable, small size, good features

We needed a replacement for another product that did not operate as expected in a specific environment, we had a limited budget, and this product met all the design needs and was under our budgeted cost. These units are installed in several locations that have slightly elevated temperatures and the specs on this unit exceeded our needs so it was a win win product.
