Mediocre print quality

Easy to set up, and the ink is lasting a long time. Print quality is not great, colors look washed out even on highest print quality. Takes FOREVER to print a color page with wireless connection. Probably will replace this with something else when the ink runs out.

Printer is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Brother INKvestment Tank 580 Wireless Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (MFC-T580DW) in exchange for my honest review, and overall it’s a great printer that looks professional, prints clearly, and offers a ton of value for the price.
Setup: It took close to an hour, which felt long. It also wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi at first—I had to force-close and reopen the app, then it synced in seconds.
Ink & Paper Handling: Filling the tanks was hit or miss. The black and pink were fine, but I had to hold the blue and yellow to get the ink flowing. Paper handling is smooth though—no jams so far, and I love that it fits a decent stack at once.
Performance: The print quality is sharp and vibrant, and it runs pretty quiet. Speed-wise, it’s not the fastest but it’s consistent and clean every time.
Packaging: Mine was delivered in just the plain printer box, which was wild—anyone could see it was a Brother printer. I really hope that changes in the future.
Overall, once you’re past setup, it’s a solid all-in-one printer with great ink life and professional-looking results.

All-in-one and no fuss!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s hard to get excited about printers, but this one does pretty much anything you’d want for a home office printer. It’s easy to use, prints fast, has a mobile connection app, USB, and best of all (for me) is the extremely accessible no-spill ink. Right on the front of the printer is the spot where you can refill, and ink comes in convenient no-spill bottles, making those awkward hidden cartridges a thing of the past. It’s the best!

Decent basic printer from Brother

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The MFC-T580DW is a compact, budget-friendly all-in-one ink tank printer that delivers excellent long-term value for everyday document printing. It’s not the most feature-rich model, but it does the essentials well and keeps operating costs low.
Print quality is good, but not as good as the other Brother printer that I have. Colors don't seem to be as sharp and sometimes look a bit dull. The printer is small in size, making it easy to set up in tight locations. It also has the ability to print two-sided.
The refillable ink tanks are nice, but I worry that with low use the ink will dry out and cause issues. The display is minimal and only provides one line of information. It would have been nice to have the same 1.5" display that the other printers have. Not having an ADF makes it harder to scan paperwork, as you have to use the flat page scanner.
If your printing is mostly documents, worksheets, and everyday use, the MFC-T580DW offers great value through its low running costs and sufficient performance. But if you do a lot of high-quality photo printing or need features like an ADF, there are stronger options available. As long as you don't need high-quality prints, I recommend this printer for all your basic needs.

Clear, quick and beautiful prints

I also sew and print tons of patterns, and the Brother INKvestment Tank 580 handles everything beautifully with sharp, clear prints. The ink lasts forever, and I love the easy refill system: no messy ink on my hands! It’s reliable, fast, and perfect for both school and personal projects! I definitely recommend this product.

Set up keeps popping up with errors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reason I only gave this two stars is because I have spent the last half an hour trying to set up the printer. I get all the information in and then an internal error pops up. I have done it multiple times and still can’t get it to work. I had the same Brother printer for 10 years and loved it so I am hoping once I can finally get the set up to work I love this as well. But right now I am annoyed at the lack of being able to set up the printer.

Messy!

Great printer for small office and home use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone that have tried many printers The Brother MFC-T580DW is a solid entry into the ink tank printer market, offering a compact 3-in-1 (print, copy, scan) solution perfect for home offices or light business use. With refillable tanks and four included ink bottles that last up to 3 years and very easy to refill. Printing quality is great. The setup is easy it takes about 10 min with the up and WiFi and then ready to go.
