It is amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This is an amazing cutting machine. Better than other brands I have tried. You can do so much with it. It is very easy to use. Right out the box I was crafting in minutes. This machine has so many awesome features. The auto blade sensor technology is very convenient, it automatically detects thickness of the material you are cutting. The scan feature is the coolest. You can scan any of your own hand drawn work! The touchscreen display makes quick edits easy. The free design software is easy to use and includes tons of free designs/projects. You can connect to your computer or your phone or tablet or just use it by itself. It comes with the main accessories you will need and the machine has a handy storage compartment for storing them.
I am so amazed at all this machine can do.
The cuts are perfect and fast. The machine is pretty quiet when in use. I can create almost anything with it. I can cut fabric, paper, card stock, vinyl, leather, foam. The creative possibilities with this are endless and easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOVE THIS MACHINE

Opened the box, took everything out & made the blue box. Easy as pie. I'm a greeting card maker & it works so well for me & is very quiet, unlike the CM650W I had before. No more fussing with settings. I tell it what I want to do & it says what adjustments to make & off we go.

Far from perfect

Based on the reviews it seems to be Brothers hasn't fixed their issue. Yes, the technology and software is nice however the mat load issues are very frustrating. I've had issues with the mat the came with the machine and the new Brothers mat I purchased online. I honestly wish I hadn't purchased this machine. Brothers please fix your problem!!!

Its ok.

Love the scan feature and the quietness of the machine. It cuts really good however the mat is not good. It loses its tackiness within the 2nd use and because of that, whatever your cutting will move around or not stay put esp for those smaller areas or pieces. Even when I tape it to the mat, the inner parts will not cut right because only the outside part is taped down. You cannot use other mats, it has to be brother brand but the cost for 1 mat is like $20 and up for a 2-3 time use. Everything else is good but if you cant even cut correctly because of the mat then there is no point. Unless you can fork out $20 every 2-3 cut, its not worth it.

Everything you need!

I was a little intimated at first, but the instructions are super easy to read and follow. The machine itself is easy to setup and the possibilities of designs are endless!

And let me tell you how thrilled I was to be able to use this!! I had heard of machines like this before but was not able to purchase one. This Brother ScanNCut machine is sooo cool! I am a beginner and will say it can be a bit overwhelming so if you know anyone who kinds what they are doing, they can be helpful! There is so much you can do with this and my "Want to Do" list just keeps growing and growing. It comes with all your basic accessories for it and I was able to figure out all on my own how to set it up. It does take some learning and patience but once you figure it all out, its a great machine.

I’m always wanting custom made shirt for my kids and this machine has saved me so much time and money! I can make them myself and the machine was preset with plenty of cutouts. The products works wonderfully and I’ve had no issue yet. It’s easy to use and understand!

Very disappointed with the performance

I am so disappointed. I bought this machine for my business and to also make crafts with my son. I opened the box, set up the software and got right to work. First thing I realize is the software I was hoping to use isn’t available in the US. That was the first of many problems. To sell a machine and not disclose this is not acceptable and I feel as though I was scammed. The second issue is cutting a circle. I printed my customers business logo on a sticker sheet and scanned it into canvas workspace. I aligned everything perfectly and put circles around the stickers where I wanted to cut. I then proceeded to cut the stickers and to my surprise they were completely off. I wasted an entire package of sticker paper thinking it was user error and unfortunately it is the machine. After a few uses of trial and errors now my mat won’t load properly. The right side is moving and the left side freezes which dragged my mat in sideways and caused it to fold multiple times. I am beyond frustrated I spent so much money on a machine that had such good reviews. The last issue I just experienced was buying a 12 by 24 mat to try and cut vinyl. I go to load a BRAND NEW brother mat and the machine cannot recognize the mat. How is this possible? Multiple attempts and I gave up. I am sending this machine back tomorrow. Don’t waste your money.
