Endless Possibilities!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit, I've always wanted one of these bad boys! This ScanNCut is so awesome! It literally has everything you need to have a ball with, and I intend on going hog wild. I've been wanting a particular stencil for a garden craft I'm working on, but couldn't find it - well, now I'll make it come spring! This baby has 682 patterns with it and I've only gotten through a quarter of them, but they don't stop with just that. One of the coolest things about this machine is that I can draw anything I can imagine and simply scan it in, or upload it via the usb or wireless connection, and, BOOM! I have my own unique pattern! It's so awesome, I am completely smitten with this machine :) Trust me, you want this cutter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a machine to make my own vinyl for awhile now and I couldn't be happier with this one. I was a little intimidated at first but the instructions were very easy to follow and I had everything set up in 5-10 minutes. I made a dinosaur first just to test it out and it was so easy to do. The second one I made my daughters name to put on her water bottle. It turned out perfect, was easy to detach thank to the handy tools included and my daughter was thrilled! The hardest part that I dislike is having to attach the vinyl to the sticky mat just right, it was even worse having to detach as the cutout stuck to it. I've only used it twice so far but I feel fully confident in how to do it now and am so excited to use it for all of my different projects.

I've been wanting some type of die cut machine for my crafts and now that I have this, I can't wait for the next time I use it!! I can't draw to save my life but this comes with enclosed built-in patterns that can be used to make beautiful crafts!! There's many different materials that can be used like paper, fabric, foam etc. With built in storage for your tools and blades & wide flat work space, you'll be having fun in no time making different crafts for you and your loved ones!!

I have been using a Cricut for over a year and the Brother blows it out of the water. It was so easy to set up and use. I am so thankful to have received it and will definitely put it to good use.

All I can say is wow! I am absolutely in love with this machine! I will admit that I suffered a severe case of nerves and felt overwhelemed when I first opened the box. However, I sucked it up and got on with it, lol.
First it comes very well packaged. Everything you need to get started is included. Set up was easy and I was plugged in and connected to my wifi within minutes. Setting it up was simple using the lcd screen. The machine is solid but not super heavy. I was able to get the Brother Canvas Workspace program both on my computer and online so I could work on my phone if I want to. I followed the directions in the booklet to make my first folding project but had no idea that a pen had been included so in all honesty I skipped the drawing part. I did find that there was a pen included though. When you get your machine opened and unwrapped, be sure to check both storage drawers. There's a little white pouch with utensils in the right hand side one and the pen thingy is on the left. The only thing I didn't really like is that there's no owner's manual. It comes with quick reference guides and instructions to get started, but no owner's manual. There is a website where you could download it, but I'd much rather have it in my hand.
The machine comes with one sheet of card stock type paper so you will need to purchase vinyl, paper or heat transfer vinyl to make other things. It also comes with a tacky mat to hold the paper/vinyl for cutting/drawing. There is a protective cover on the mat but don't discard it when you remove it because you can reuse it to protect the tackiness of the mat when you aren't using it. Be forewarned though. When I pulled the protective covering off for the first time there was this awful chemical odor emenating from the mat. You know, sort of like the smell of a Sharpie but stronger! It has diminished over the 24 hours since I first pulled the cover off. Make sure there's nothing behind your machine because the mat flows front to back while cutting/drawing. You won't be able to put this right up near a wall because you'll need some clearance.
The mat fed very easily into the machine and the lcd screen led me through the settings I needed as well as following along in the booklet that came with the machine. It was practically silent while it was cutting and the lcd screen told me how long it would take to get finished. The paper came off the mat and I was able to fold my project quickly and easily.
I love the idea of being able to scan something into the machine for drawing or cutting. I found that if I had a smaller piece of vinyl, I could put it on the mat and scan it into the machine. Then, using the lcd screen, I could manipulate what it was that I wanted to cut to be sure it was able to fit on the smaller piece of vinyl. Amazing!
I will say that there is a bit of a learning curve. But the machine and the software make it fairly easy. I was able to put words on my coffee maker and create t-shirts on my very first day with the machine! And I have had ZERO experience with any sort of other vinyl cutting machines. There are also TONS of how to videos on the internet. I swear we could all get lost in a sea of "how do I do......" tutorials. But mostly, it's the trial and error that we will all experience that will teach us how to truly use this fabulous machine.
Overall, I'm super glad to have this machine. I can't wait to explore all it can do. I've already ordered more vinyl because my husband is already asking me to make him decals for his rc cars. Pictures of my first few projects are attached. Good luck in the vinyl cutting world!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product I wasn't aware of everything that it could do. I'm very impressed with it. I have made cards, and decals for shirts. I'm still learning what all this does. It has several pre programed art patterns but you can download your own as well. I'm amazed what all this machine can do. I will be making lots of things. I also like it better than other products that does the same thing out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. You can scan your own art and draw or cut it. It is very quiet. The touch screen is very easy to use. It comes with 682 patterns to use if you can't think of you on. You don’t need to be online to use it, or to create images. It draws beautiful images.
My biggest con was it didn't come with a detailed manual I had to download it.

This machine has so many features you could create your own business just on the things it could do. It can cut paper vinyl and so many other things. It also has a draw feature as well so you can program designs to draw seamlessly. There are also so many different attachments you can buy to go with it if you plan to make things like big vinyl stickers. The possibilities are endless
