Install was very straight forward. Bonus the WiFi reaches to our shed with string signal which is about 75' feet away. Turned off SIM card on my phone played music and went for a walk, surprised to find out the connection still in tact a few houses down the street.
The TP-Link Archer AX55 is an excellent Wi-Fi 6 router that delivers fast, stable, and reliable performance. Setup is quick and easy, and the signal coverage is strong throughout the house. It handles multiple devices smoothly without slowing down, making it perfect for streaming, gaming, and working from home. Great value for the price.
This product constantly disconnects me from the network and often needs a reboot to get back online. I wanted to try something different, but unfortunately it seems I've wasted my money and time. I will definitely be going back to the brand I used to have.
Had this since 2021, it's worked basically flawlessly since then. Works great with streaming VR to my Oculus Quest 2. Make sure to put the 2.4 and 5ghz bands on different networks, it doesn't do the automatic switching very well.
Sporadically started dropping connections after a week or so, did a recommended firmware update and now it bricked itself. I'd give it a zero if I could. Too bad, because the advanced interface in the control panel is actually half-decent.
The router was working great for two months. Then I started experiencing slow and unreliable 2.4GHz WiFi. After contacting TP-Link technical support and went through troubleshooting with them, they come to the conclusion that the router is defective and has to be replaced as is still under warranty. But their warranty policy required the customer to pay for one way shipping to TP-Link CA and this is not negotiable. The cost of shipping exceeded 30% of the value of the router and it does not make sense to send it back. Most reputable companies will pay for returning shipping, but not TP-Link. Keep in mind that if you are buying TP-Link product the warranty is not that great as it sounds.
Very happy with this purchase and the sales staff that recommended it! We have great reception, just note that you must set the router up with your laptop for it to actually provide the wifi. It showed full bars on our wifi but was not letting us use the wifi. If we used our phone data we could search. Technician came out and had to program the router which we did not know about. Our last router was just plug in and put in password and it all worked.
