Nice sewing machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review. I am one of those people that always tries to fix clothes before tossing them away. This machine works great! I have also made a few decorative pillows and i am thinking about some curtains for our living room. I consider myself a beginner, but I had no trouble using this machine. Instructions are fairly easy to follow and it fits nicely on the little corner table I have set up in our bedroom. I have tried quilting yet, but that's my plan for this fall. I have many different pieces of clothes from when our son was little, and I thought a small quilted blanket would be a nice gift for him. I also like to get inspiration online and I am looking forward to many other creations I will make with this sewing machine. If you like to sew or if you have always wanted to try it, you won't be disappointed!!!

A Mistake

I needed to replace my broken LX3817A because I didn't think it was worth fixing an entry level machine. But this machine can't even hem jeans without skipping stitches. New machine, fresh needle, but still it looks awful. I was really excited about getting a better machine which just makes how awful this one works more disappointing. I wish I had gone with something else but I guess I have to make it work now.

Disappointed

Needed to replace my 30 year old machine and decided on the CP100x. Received it yesterday and have spend over five hours trying to get a simple straight stick. Read and reread the manual and watch views with no luck. Did everything thing the manual suggested. Returning tomorrow.

I guess I’ve been living in the dark ages with my old machine from my mom. This machine has it all! Threading a needle on the first try with this was a huge success, changing out one of the ten feet is a breeze, endless stitches are amazing. It’s quiet, the foot peddle is accurate to your touch and I love the storage case. I’ve whipped out some pretty cute doll clothes for my daughter and she’s loving the different stitches that she can choose for them. This machine is going to be great for anyone that wants to learn how to sew. It’s so user friendly and so simple. It light weight and has a very large working area, which is great for quilt making. This is by far a great machine and can’t wait to see what I can make next.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every since I was a little girl I have always wanted my very own sewing machine. Loom I am now a owner of one. It's simple amazing it was so many settings and functions me being a beginner this is very easy to use an you can even watch videos on YouTube to get a idea what to make if you get lost. I started off small and make a pillow case. Everything went smooth some bumps but with time Everything will work out. Enjoying the adventure. I also use it to make little touch ups on my work uniform or dress or shirt so convenient no more running to the shop to make altercations

Wish it were a bit heavier

I purchased this machine to begin a quilting class, I sew but I have never quilted. It is very light weight, I did expect it to be a little heavier and not seem so fragile. Did not have a problem threading it but getting the bobbin seated and guide that tread was kinda difficult the first time. I haven’t used it for quilting yet just sewing seams, I hopeful it will be fine and perform as stated.

the computer has lost its mind

We bought 5 of these machines for out free sewing room 2 of them have started doing an automatic back stitch whenever the sewer pauses. it is very confusing for beginners and maddening for experianced sewers.
