purchased this Brother sewing machine to replace my old one, looking for something reliable but not too fancy since I don’t sew as much as I used to. This machine has been a great choice! It’s lightweight, making it easy to set up and store, and the instructions are very clear, making it simple to use right out of the box.
One feature I appreciate is the needle assist, which works well, but I do wish it included the automatic needle threader that I’ve seen on other Brother models—it would have been a nice addition. Overall, this machine is perfect for my needs: straightforward, easy to use, and well-designed for casual sewing projects. If you’re looking for a good, basic sewing machine without unnecessary extras, this is a great option!

Good for beginners, should last a while

I'm new to sewing and this machine seems easy to use. I like the automatic threader as that's something I've generally had challenges with in the past. There's a couple youtube videos on this machine and they were perfect to helping me figure out how to thread and get started with this machine. The machine itself seems reliable and I'm already using some of the custom stitching.

Terrible machine! CP100X

The top thread continuously gets tangled under the thread spool around the thread holder. This has been happening since day one of brand new machine. I’ve tried everything to rectify it and ended up purchasing a different sewing machine. I love other Brother sewing machines but don’t waste your money on this model! CP100X
