My house was surged by lightening and blew out some of my appliances thru the Ethernet line. So I went on the hunt for surge protectors for everything including my phone line. There are few out there that aren't a strip plug. My phone sits on my kitchen countertop, so I didn't want a strip. I have a 4 socket plug in on the wall and didn't want to lose my access. I love the red and green light system to tell you it still working. They can sometimes take multiple zaps before the unit quits doing its job. This has held up very well. Fits nicely in the spot I needed it.

This is a great surge protector for tight spaces. And it handles a lot. I love the green light indicator for a quick visual. While I've [thankfully] never had a claim, Tripp Lite's registration process was quite professional and gives me confidence that they'll back their products.

Absolute BEST Surge Suppressor

You cannot lose with Tripp Lite! We have constant surges in my area. This surge suppressor takes the surge and no damage comes to my equipment. I have one of these on almost every outlet that I use often. I don't have to worry about losing what is plugged in. I know that Tripp Lite will back up their product if there is a hit on the surpressor. They are very good about replacing the suppressor when a hit comes. My equipment is spared and they send out a replacement suppressor! Can't lose! Before Tripp Lite I was having to buy new suppressors constantly.

Small post is supposed to fit into the round ground hole in the outlet---EXCEPT it doesn't so the unit doesn't sit flush on the outlet! Other than that unit is great as is everything Tripp-lite makes!
