With all the laptops in my household, we needed a 1-stop work area that was simple enough for everyone to plug into with just 1 thunderbolt cable- accessing the monitor, ethernet, power, etc. The Thinkpad Universal Docking Station did just that. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great when it works but the whole reason I purchased a new docking station was that my old one wouldn't always turn both monitors back on after computer fell asleep. This one does the exact same thing, it's so very disappointing to spend this amount of money on something and have it not work in the exact same way as the old model. Everything else seems to work fine but it's very frustrating to have to unplug and replug in the monitor to get it to turn back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice product and the performance so far is great, I can connect multiple monitors without noticing any lag during gaming or media streaming. The only downside I can see is that is on the heavy side, like, considerably heavy, so, if you don't plan to travel a lot with it, you might want to consider something lighter besides that the unit works great, highly recommended.
