I along with ASUS support were not able to add this node to my Ai Mesh network. We tried the app and the website. We tried cycling the power and resetting the router…everything failed. I was issued an RMA and I mailed it back.

We do understand your disappointment with this ZenWiFi and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are unable to add it to your AiMesh network. Before sending this router for warranty service, ensure this node is within 1/3 meters of the main router for initial pairing, it has the latest firmware version posted at: https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/whole-home-mesh-wifi-system/zenwifi-wifi-systems/asus-zenwifi-bt6/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=ASUS-ZenWiFi-BT6, was factory reset, and WPS is on. If wireless fails, use a wired Ethernet backhaul; check for model compatibility and reset both router/node, using the app or web GUI to resync, keeping devices near the main router during setup. If problem persist, we recommend sending it in for warranty service.
