Excellent Unit

I bought this about a month ago and was recently just able to unpack and use it. I’m impressed with the power and very happy with the various attachments. I mainly purchased this to use on our carpeted stairs but tried it in a project vehicle I’m working on. Excellent results on those disgustingly dirty seats! I highly recommend this to anyone considering a purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have lost my chaise lounge to my two dogs. Every now and then I try to clean it so it is usable to humans again. This thing did the job great! It took very little to set up and the amount of dirt and pure grossness it sucked out of that thing was unbelievable. This will definingly be my go to upholstery cleaning tool. (My car is next on the list!)

Works Great Removing Stains!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son spilled "something" on his carpet and never told me about it. By the time I discovered the stain, it was set. I tried numerous stain and spot removers but none of them worked. I used the Shark StainStriker on the same large stain, and after two applications, the stain was completely gone!! I couldn't be any more happy with this device. I then used it on a set stain on the backseat floor of my car, (seeing a pattern here) and it also removed the stain after only one application. The StainStriker works as advertised, only con to this device is that it slightly "leaks" around the hose seal and your hands get wet, other than that, I highly recommend this product.

Can't say enough good things about it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have multiple dogs in our house and are often asked by new "pet" owners what we recommend they own before adding a pet to their house. The Shark StainStriker is now on that list of "must-haves." The unit is on the smaller side and easily moved throughout the house. Besides carpets, it can easily do upholstery and vehicle interiors. The fact that it can do stairs is a bonus! Seeing the dark water get sucked up is very satisfying.

Does a great Job!

Received this yesterday, got to try it out today. Out of the box, it is impressive, seems relatively easy to clean. It has many similar features as the 4 Bissell machines I have had, which is good except for the hose. The pet cleaner head works quite well if you get the larger chunks up with a paper towel first! I was doubtful, at first, but happy with the results! The reason I purchased this unit was because every Bissell I have had has been rendered useless due to the hose splitting at either the end where it attaches to the head or the end where it attaches to the machine. Bissell has a 1-2 yr warranty (depending on the model) and of course, the hose splits after that. I was disappointed to see the StainStriker has the same hose, and the same sort of storage for it, where clipping the hose head to the machine requires a right angle bend. for this reason, I do not clip it in place. It looks as though the StainStriker hose may be replaceable in the future, or at least I hope so! I also hope the Shark people will stand behind their product and listen to the consumer rather than ignoring the complaints and doing nothing to change the product design. I own 3 other Shark products (Lift Away, Rocket, and Handheld cordless vacuums) and though they are older, they continue to serve me very well. I would really like to find out how to become a SharkNinja tester, as I always seem to have suggestions for little tweaks to make the products better! The hose issue is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars, otherwise, I recommend the StainStriker.

I have never been so happy that I finally got something that will get the spills out my rug and also get my carpet together in my truck. It was easy to assemble, easy to use and has multiple tools to get in between little spaces. I highly highly recommend this product and trust me you won't be disappointed.

Small but powerful, great design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how compact this machine is. It stores easily in the cupboard under the sink in the bathroom, so it's on hand upstairs where we have carpet. It's a powerful little machine, and has so far performed very well. It has an unusual two-tank system - one for the hot water and cleaning solution, and the other for the oxy stain treatment, and this seems to work really well. The machine has three really great features that make this stand out from other cleaners I've tried:
First is the pet mess attachment. This has a built in filter and a container that quickly unscrews - when you're cleaning particularly obnoxious messes, this will gather the "chunks" locally at the head, rather than drawing the mess through the entire machine. This makes it much easier to clean up semi-solid messes.
Secondly, the tool heads have the slots through which they draw the liquid. On other cleaners I've used, these are solid pieces, making it really difficult to clean properly after use. On the Shark machine, the front plate unclips, allowing you to easily clean inside. I love this feature!
Finally, again on the subject of cleaning the machine itself, there's a plastic cap that fits over the end of the hose, and is used to redirect water straight back through the hose to flush it out. Simple but brilliant.
Overall, I can definitely recommend this cleaner. If I had to find fault with it, the hose is supposed to wrap around the base of the machine, clipping the tool handle to the side. Mine barely reaches to clip into place, maybe because it's still relatively new. A minor point, because as I mentioned, it's compact and stores easily in a cupboard.
