I purchased the Stain Striker because I purchased a new sectional. It is a light gray and I have 4 dogs and a teen in my household. I knew that I would need something to help me maintain the upholstery, although I have not needed it yet for the sofa I did test it on my carpet. I have a carpet cleaner but it never gets close enough to the baseboards. Wow! This little machine did an incredible job removing the built up mess around some of the edges. It also did a great job removing a stain on the carpet. I love the ability to pick it up easily and move to the next area to clean. It also super easy to clean the machine itself. My only small complaint or change would be to have a longer hose. When I need to replace my carpet cleaner it will be with a Shark!

Does not suction and leaked all over!

Bought this yesterday and returned it today. I was so disappointed because I genuinely trusted the Shark brand.
I used it one time and the suction was so terrible it left my rug really wet where I’d used it after trying to suction for twenty minutes to no avail. Then, it leaked all over the rug and floor overnight just sitting there. Since it didn’t suction as discussed I ended up having to use towels to try to dry everything which was more useful that this product. So disappointed. It did the opposite of what it was supposed to do- clean up a spill and stain, and left me with a huge mess to clean up because of it.

Just used it for the first time. It works as described. It does take some time to clean after use but not hard. Easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. I can imagine lots of people not taking the time but will be harder if you let it dry.
Urine stains from new pup were not removed on first try. I should have gotten them sooner but I didn’t notice them until they were dry.

If you have pets and rugs/carpet, you need this. 1800 sqft. worth of tile, and you know just where they're heading when they get sick? Yup, that little 48 sqft. patch of light colored floor covering. Ugh, what can we do? Well get the StainStriker, and you don't have to worry about it anymore. Super portable and easy to use. Way more convenient than any of the full size rug cleaners.

I am writing this review on Thanksgiving night after experiencing a remarkable situation. I bought wall-to-wall Karastan carpeting a month ago and also ordered the small Shark StainStriker as a precaution. Today, an hour before guests were due to arrive, my cat Jazzy had an accident and made a mess on the carpet in the dining room. In a frantic rush, I opened the StainStriker and swiftly read the directions. Assembling it was straightforward, and to my amazement, it swiftly eliminated the large brown stain from my white rug. I am absolutely impressed with this little machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just perfect! I love this lightweight, compact Shark carpet cleaner. I super convenient for small areas. Great cleaning power, and suction. The attachments make the job easy. The extra long 12 foot cord is a plus for me. Love using this to clean my furniture. It really gets the dirt out. Spot cleans the carpet very well!
