Great and wonderful Virtual pet

I'm so relieved that this pet doesn't actually die. It has mini games that are entertaining and it's easy to earn coins to spend for your pet! It's a great stress reliever and what a virtual pet really should be. I hope and wish for more and different kinds of English version of virtual pets to come!! I do hope however that there's an option where the screen can just stay on, so it'll be like a desktop pet that also displays the date and time. Overall though, it's great! I love it!! Thank you SpinMaster!! (please bring more virtual pets in English version ^_^)

Punirunes is an adorable and original virtual pet that takes the whole concept of user interaction with their pet to another level! The squishy button inside the device functions as a pad which can be used to pet your punirunes, play games with them and also taking care of them. Just be careful to always wash your hands and keep them clean when interacting with the pad because it's silicone and dirt will get stuck on it if your hands are dirty.
I also love the evolution tree and all the posible combinations you can do with the mix materials. The animations are beautiful and cute for every punirune, the sound is also very high quality and has cute sound effects. The screen also is very bright and big enough so you can watch the gorgeous colours with detail! As for the size, I have big hands, and it totally fills my handful and feels very nice to hold.
An excellent virtual pet overall perfect for kids and adult fans of virtual pets, I hope new versions release worldwide soon!

Great Toy but eats batteries

This was the hit Christmas present this year. Youngest has been playing with it constantly. It seems much better value than a tamagotchi, with games and things to collect, and she loves petting it.
My main complaint is the ridiculous battery life. The ones it came with didn’t last the day, we replaced with rechargeable ones but those went after about 5 hours. Same for Energiser ones, however the battery checker said there was still plenty of charge left, so seems to be an issue with the Punirune.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun and interactive digital pet device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun, unique interactive toy that has multiple characters and modes to play with for hours. The button is squishy, but allows you to play with your character including bathing, eating, and cleaning. My daughter loves this toy and it’s small enough to go with us anywhere.

Fun toy but could use a few tweaks!

Let's start with right out of the box. Packaging is super cute. Inside the box is the Punirunes digital pet, batteries, and the instructions. The instructions are a bit much. As you can see in the picture the instructions are as long as my leg! Very hard to follow with how it's set up. There are multiple languages which is great, but they are all mixed together under each part. I think it would be much easier to follow it went by language with all instructions under each language, than by step with every language.
When you turn it on you set time, date, and color of finger. The instructions tell you the basics. They explain each part of the care screen, but don't go into detail. I think it would be hard for a child to figure out certain things. There is a part to go play games, but there is no tutorial or instruction on how to play each game. So you kind of have to figure it out on your own to get coins. I also noticed while trying the games that the squishy button doesn't register each touch. That's frustrating for me as an adult, I have to imagine it would be super frustrating as a kid who's trying to win the game and the touch isn't registering.
The biggest con I have is the 'bed time'. I know it's for children but the pet automatically sleeps from 7:59pm to 5:59am, during which time you can basically do nothing. If older children or teens wanted this that wouldn't go over very well. I wanted to keep trying it out but because my friend had to sleep I now have to wait till morning.
