Good performance, horrible restring process

While it's running, the unit does a good job of powering through common weed and grasss chores. However, once you run out of line, you have to remove the spool from the bump mechanism and head and they only provide a fully filled replacement spool. It's not as simple as most of the other trimmers out there, which allow you to respool while the cartridge is still attached. This one is borderline infuriating. Hopefully Greenworks will put this dinosaur out to pasture and get with the times. String changes or adds shouldn't require more than 5 seconds, no aligning and holding stuff together like a contortionist.

We have a variety of string trimmer heads, all newer models come with our Load n' Go head which does not have to be removed for rewinding. Unfortunately, we do regret to inform you that older models cannot be updated to this style of the head though. Currently I have 4 different Greenworks products. I continue to be impressed by the quality of there products and I love having several tools that can interchange batteries. You get the benefits of having extra batteries without having to get them. If that makes sense lol! Both the drill and the impact driver exceed my expectations. Great job by Greenworks in making quality products.
