Two to four inches of snow. The unit worked almost as well as the previous corded unit. Adequate for our irregular snowfall that rarely exceeds six inches. Some issues with the discharge chute clogging and freezing were encountered. If there were more regular occurrence of heavier (6"+) snowfall, this single-stage unit probably would not be the right fit for you.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello RRDB1952.
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We are glad to hear the 80V 20" Single-Stage Snow Blower is working well for your typical snowfall. We appreciate your note about the discharge chute clogging and freezing this is valuable feedback. To help avoid chute clogging, we recommend: 1. Clearing snow in smaller, lighter passes rather than trying to move large amounts at once. 2. Keeping the chute and auger free of packed snow during use. 3. Occasionally stopping to remove any buildup if snow is wet or heavy. For heavier snowfall, you may want to consider our Two-Stage Snow Blowers. One great benefit is that they use the same 80V batteries, so you could have both a single-stage and a two-stage unit for varying snow conditions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this 80V 770CFM Cordless Blower. It has amazing power and way lighter than my backpack blower. Twice as powerful too! Blew off my driveway, walkway and patio in half the time it took me compared to the backpack blower!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used for first time on about 4-5" snowfall. Snow was light and the blower worked well. Road had been plowed so bottom of driveway was heavier and chunky, but took a shovel and chopped that area to loosen the snow, and then the blower went through fine. Low noise. I had a larger 80V battery from another Greenworks product, and was able to finish whole drive but had to switch out batteries to do the bottom of drive. This certainly beats the huge gas powered beast of a blower we've had for years. Good timing since hubby just had shoulder surgery, so I can do this as it is very light weight and easy to maneuver. It was fun!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to use this product yesterday and had major issues with the auger even with light, fluffy snow. After bringing the batteries, fully charged, from inside and putting them in the snowblower, the auger wouldn't spin consistenly.
* I would start the auger by holding the paddle. It would start, stop, start, stop start, stop and beep. This happened even when I wasn't moving snow. Very rarely I was able to keep the auger going long enough to finish a whole row. * Sometimes when I finally got the auger moving I would push the drive paddle and the auger would stop and beep. * Whenever I was able to finish a row I would release the drive paddle so I could turn around and adjust the chute. When I did this the auger would stop and the snowblower would turn off. * The snowblower turned off a lot during operation even if I was holding down the auger paddle.
* I tried a dozen things to get it to operate like half rows, different batteries, etc. * I maintain the batteries as described in the manual. * Overall it took 5-10x as long as it should have to clear a two-car driveway and sidewalk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
