I bought this at the beginning of the year. I had never used a chainsaw and this was very easy to handle.This is one powerful little tool. It has an 8 inch chain. I have used it on dead trees in the yard that I'd been wanting gone. The largest tree had a circumference of around 10-12 inches. I haven't had to add anymore bar oil and I've used it about 20 hours so far. Not heavy or bulky at all.

Am a 72 yr old woman who thought this chainsaw would be great, & has been ‘til I got the recall ! “Under certain circumstances it can remain ON! Called, & was told they will ship the part to repair it to me- like my car manufacturer telling me “ Your accelerator “may stick , but we’ ll send you the part to repair it. Have to have part shipped to a repair place 40 some miles away, wait for part & repair, meanwhile the saw is useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this chain saw and continue to use it. The chain keeps coming off, but I have figured out how to keep it adjusted correctly. It is great for small seedlings and small limbs. I love this saw. Battery lasts a long time. I would recommend buying a second battery, because you may be at the end of your cutting and need just a little more time to finish. Don’t buy this for big projects. But great for cleaning up and lots of pruning where the loopers are just too hard to use.

Surprising

I bought this little 24vt last spring after giving up trying to start my gas one. I wanted something dependable, easy to use and light- even though I tended to demand fairly heavy use of my saws. When I got it it seems kinds of whimpy and really light weight. I thought, "oh well, that was a mistake"
Wow, was I surprised by the results. The little devil cut right through just about anything I put it up against under a foot thick. I found quickly, let it do the cutting, don't force it and let it rip right through on it's own and it will.. Also, surprise, the 24 vt battery cut for a long time in the pile that the storm brought down and I put it away without recharging. Contrary to most power saws that use chain bar oil- I still have not refilled it as it it 1/2 full after many additional cuttings. Wow, I'm impressed.
