I am a novice when it comes to tools and, especially, power tools. I recently purchased a lawnmower, a leaf blower and a snow blower by Greenworks (from another seller) and figured why not get a drill, which I needed, from them as well, since the battery is compatible across several equipment.
The drill doesn't come with battery and any bits, which I had to purchase separately. I received the package and the battery I ordered at the same time. The drill, as for my use and application, works and functions fine. In my opinion, it is fairly reasonably priced as well. Again, and of course, I am not using it for heavy duty drilling or driving.
I would certainly recommend it to beginners and novices like myself.
Very happy with this. I'd already been using Greenworks products (lawnmower, trimmer/edger) and liked them a lot. I needed a new drill so I bought this one, in part because it uses the same battery as the trimmer/edger. Solid construction, quiet, and powerful.
I got this product as a gift, and I am so happy that I did because I use it more than any other tool I have! It is very strong, lightweight and the battery lasts forever! It is one of the most helpful tools I have in my house!
If you are not sure about purchasing a Greenworks product, don't think twice! They are absolutely the best power tool we have ever owned! I have 3 drills including an impact, a blower and I also have the 2000 psi pressure washer! They are the best!!
I bought one of these and it is really powerful for a cordless drill. I later bought a drill and driver pair -- the driver was not a flexible chuck and the drill was not nearly as powerful, so I returned the pair and bought a second hammer drill. I often use both at once to pre-drill for screws and then with a screw bit to put the screws in. The chuck is easy, they are durable, and they are powerful.
I recently bought the hammer drill, partly because it shares the 24V battery with a Greenworks pole hedge trimmer I got as a gift. The keyless chuck works flawlessly. The torque/speed adjustment feature is great for specific jobs. The battery delivers plenty of power for quite a while and recharges quickly. I dismantled a VERY high "tree fort" with it, which would have been much more difficult with a "wired" drill.
I bought this because I was tired of searching my husbands tools every time I needed them for minor home repair or crafts...the battery life is great and the carrying case is a lifesaver for keeping everything organized! I even like the feature that hooks it to your pocket, belt, etc. when you're on ladder and need both hands but have no where to lay the drill. Since getting it, my husbands old cordless drill is collecting dust in a garage while he borrows mine!
