It works great for trimming vines and light edging. If you will use in lieu of a metal blade edger (I use both but don't have a massive yard), you may want to consider a larger model that allows line to extend further.

Terrible Line Feeder

The bump feed gets stuck routinely and the strength of the tool is fairly weak. I gave it one season to win me over, but it never did. I will be purchasing a new trimmer next year.

Bump feed getting stuck, check that the guard is cleared of debris. Build up debris on the underside of the guard may prevent the line from cutting at its full potential. Ensure the cutting blade located on the underside of the guard is exposed, clean and clear of debris. If the blade is dull sharpen or replace the cutting blade. This will allow your trimmer line to work more effectively.

It's quiet, has good battery life, and cuts very well. My only complaint is that it's somewhat difficult to keep the spinning mechanism off the ground 100% of the time so it scrapes against the ground. There is no guard and the material is just plastic so mine quickly wore through the plastic leaving the spinning mechanism partially exposed. Also, it's basically just a weed wacker, and while it's a very nice weed wacker, the edging function is not really that functionally. The metal bar to help guide the edging is very flimsy and often comes off and doesn't penetrate the soil very easily. I end up edging just as I would work a normal weed wacker. In summary, purchase if your are looking for a very solid weed wacker and don't care about the edging function.
