Quick and Easy

My previous edger was an old fashioned manual type that wore you out. My old trimmer's battery had to be recharged 2-3 times in order to complete the job. This battery not only is strong enough to complete the entire job, but it appears to have as much power at the end of the job as it did when I started. This tool allows me to rotate the trimmer for perfect edging along my driveway and sidewalk which makes life easier. Having one tool that does both jobs saves space in my garage too.

Tangled mess right out of the box.

As much as I like the mower from this company, this string trimmer is poorly designed and did not work right out of the box. All string trimmers struggle to feed new line out as it wears, and this one uses the typical 'bump' mechanism where touching the trimmer to the ground (in theory) allows a new length of wire to spool out. All trimmers seem to be susceptible to tangles as they get dirtier/older. The unit I received was pre-tangled right out of the box. I could not pull line off the spool after bumping the release mechanism even using pliers. After taking it apart (and disassembling the spool mechanism) and rebuilding it three times I was only able to trim about 15 feet of sidewalk. Products are only 'green' if they work--performance and durability keep manufactured goods out of landfills. This one fails.

More convenient than a gas trimmer

Purchased this along with an 10" Greenworks string trimmer to take care of a one acre colonial era cemetery in Connecticut. Works well around all the gravestones and shrubbery. Already have replaced the string spool due to my heavy usage of the trimmer. Also bought a 3 pack of Greenworks replacement spools since I knew I was going to be doing a lot of trimming this year. Found it simple to install the replacement spool. A lot easier to carry around a large area than a heavy gas trimmer since I'm 63 years old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent trimmer for my needs. Lightweight and easy to use. Love that it's battery operated. No messing with gasoline. Battery operated tools are much quieter and emit no fumes like gas. No storing flammable gasoline in sheds or garages. Love it.
