Nice lightweight tool, but the string became worn down within one use. I'm hoping that Greenworks will replace it.

Please know that the string would be considered wearable and the rate at which it will need to be replaced depends on the use of the product. Wearable parts are the responsibility of the customer to replace. This unit may be rewound using a .065" trimmer line found at your local hardware store! We bought the trimmer and blower combo and we have the chainsaw we love them all. The batteries last a long time, and keep the charge.

Unpacked this 7/29/2021 used it about 30 and then trimmer head came flying off when I tried to screw it back on I noticed that gears were stripped of all the teeth
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for edging sidewalks as well as tough to reach areas!

I absolutely LOVE this trimmer. It works much better than imagined and so much easier than my last gas trimmer. No more oil, gas problems, no pulling, much less shaking. In fact minimal hand irritation and so much more quieter than my old gas trimmer. Works fast and I get my full acre lawn worth of trimming done in a full charge. Very impressed with this and highly recommend if you are on the fence. Battery charges pretty fast right out of the box and its lighter and easier to use than traditional gas powered trimmers. Just 100% pleased.
