Brushless Endurance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this drill to grind several holes through the porcelain tile backsplash in my kitchen using a diamond-encrusted drill bit so I could mount a microwave bracket. It took several hours of slow-Ish grinding with frequent stops to keep the tip wet and cool in order to keep the porcelain tile from cracking or chipping. This drill not only held up, it didn't even get hot. Lesser-quality drills with a brush-style motor would not have been able to do that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first cordless drill I have owned. I have other Grrenworks 40 volt outdoor tools which have worked great, for years. My fist use of the drill was as if I had owned and used it for ever. Very comfortable and easy to use.

Drill with Battery Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill is smaller and much lighter than the Ryobi I have. So far it did not lock the drill bit well. Drill bit slips from time to time. Not sure why but it's easy and lighter to use for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mr Old School.
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing. If your bit isn't secure in the drill, examine the chuck. Normal wear and tear can compromise the chuck's ability to hold the drill bit.
To install the bit:
1. Push forward / reverse switch in "neutral" position to lock the trigger.
2. Turn the chuck counter-clockwise to open.
3. Tilt the machine upwards to keep the bit from falling out
4. Put the bit into the opening of the chuck.
5. Make sure that the bit is centered, then turn the chuck clock-wise to tighten.

If you are using the drill on wood we recommend, for maximum performance, use high speed steel bits for wood drilling. When using on wood Operate the machine at a very low speed to prevent the bit from slipping off the starting point. Increase the speed as the drill bit bites into the material.
