I used one to hand some coats. These coats are quite heavy and large. It held until I removed it as I was remodleing. Needless to say I put some back up. Even more than before.
The command strips are perfect for everything around the house, garage and shed. We bought them as coat hooks for the back door. That way when we go outside the coats are right at our finger tips and not on hanging on the back of our dining room chairs. In addition we use them on the back of our bathroom doors to have towels and robes on. They are perfect for anything. This is the best product that I have come across in a long time that was actually helpful.
I use Command Hooks to organize everything in the house from floor to ceiling. They help me maximize the use of every square foot in the house and, for someone like me with lifelong ADHD, having things where I can see them helps me maintain a neat and organized house for the rest of the family.
My only complaint is that the adhesive HATES humidity, and in the tropical swamp of South Florida, getting them to stick to the most humid places in the house (the bathrooms) is impossible.
Love putting hooks up where and when I need them. I have used them mostly for kids needs. My younger son couldn't reach the coat tree hook, so I put a large hook on the wall next to the coat tree, just for him to use; now he can be more independent.
I use the hangers for leash holders. They don't look bad and are very useful next to the door where there isn't room for a table or shelf. I also put some in the bathroom and hang necklaces and bracelets off of them. It's a great way to keep them untangled and they're easily accessible.
