Does hold 5 pounds

I used these in my classroom and the VERY light backpacks (no books only a lunch, a water bottle and a folder) kept breaking the hooks. The most frustrating part is the strip and bracket are fine but the hooks broke. Sadly, the hook can not be replaced. Please fix this so replacement hooks are available. Our planet doesn't need excess waste.

While advertised to remove cleanly and damage free, in tiny print on back of package it says 3M will not be responsible for any damage arising from this product whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential. My beautiful dining room now looks terrible. I used the hook to hold a 1 lb wreath over the holidays. I pulled the rubber thing out, but this still happened. I'm guessing the top part of the tape must have become permanently glued to the wall. All instructions were followed.

RUINED Wood Work (& tree)

Very upset to find (multiple) strips pulled off professionally painted woodwork, damaged trees and many broken heirloom ornaments. Weight was under what was required and several strips were applied properly. DO NOT count on the CLAIMS for this product if you have care about your interior space. We now need to have woodwork sanded down and re-sprayed. Extremely disappointing to deal with when we used these as in extra "safety blanket". FAILED! 100% RUINED WOODWORK

Ripped paint off wall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed all the instructions. The wall had been painted over a year ago so it was fully cured. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the wall. I let it sit overnight without anything hanging on it. The next day I hung a skateboard deck, which is well under 5 lbs. Two nights later, it fell down and took some paint with it. I used to use these all the time, now it seems like they just don't work anymore. I also recently used some of the tiny ones to hang fairy lights in my daughter's room, and half of those fell off, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the smallest Command hooks since they first came out, to keep extension cords for Christmas lighting subtly out of view. I started using this size Command hook several years ago to hold my purse off the ground at work. I don't know why it took me so long, but since then I have found it useful at home for not only purses, but also for the many Christmas garlands I hang around my home. No more big nail holes in the walls to repair after the holidays, yay!
