I hesitated at first to spend this much on a robot vacuum but it’s worth every penny! I’m so glad I went ahead and took the plunge because this thing is such a game changer keeping my floors clean!

The robot is a GAME CHANGER!

I’ve had an iRobot Roomba S9 which, at the time of purchase, was the top of the line in the Roomba series. It worked moderately well at vacuuming but I had some recurring issues with the robot that eventually became insurmountable. First, it never cleaned in corners or along baseboards very well. It was also prone to ending the job early due to being stuck. It took forever and a day (hyperbole) to initially map our house and setting the Roomba Jet mop to work in tandem with it was always roughly 5-6 hours of time commitment for my 1550 square foot home. Of course, the mop pad would be filthy by the end of the mopping session, but the mopping would never happen if my vacuum ended the job stuck. One major challenge I faced with the Roomba was the degree and size of dog hair tumbleweeds that we have in our home due to a German Shepherd. Her fluffy hindquarters, in particular, would shed almost light fluffy cotton ball “”tumbleweeds” and invariably the Roomba would get dog hair intertwined around the brush rollers and into the edges of the brush rollers. This meant that I had an inordinate number of replacement brush rollers, dust bin bags, and often times needed to replace the cleaning head unit on the robot due to hair clogs in the roller mechanism of the robot itself! After having a left wheel error on my robot and it getting stuck too many times to count, I decided it was time to send the Roomba to the recycling center in the sky and search out a new one. I was encouraged to find a new Roomba that did mopping and vacuuming at the same time! I did not know about the advancements in robot vac/mop combos. However, that YouTube deep dive led to “Just a Dad’s” channel and he reviewed in great detail many of the newest and best combo robots and that’s how I landed on the Dreame X40 Ultra.

It’s a Dream!!

Like others I was hesitant to spend so much money on a floor robot. After using the X40 Ultra for about 3 months now, I simply cannot go back to the constant backbreaking chore of cleaning my wood floors manually with vacuum and mop. I can now command “Rosie” to clean my floors while I relax. The Dreame app is user friendly. The X40 Ultra is a game changer and I can attest to having only a very positive experience. I’ve had no issues or problems. My floors are always so clean!!

As a mechanical engineer, I find the Dream X40 Ultra impressive. I've used other vacuum robots, and this product outperforms them all.

This is my first robo vacuum and most likely the last. Life is a lot easier now with no hqssle cleaning and moping everyday. The app and features are nice and easy to use. Also the vacuum is made with a lot of thought compared to well established brands. In all worth the price.

I did have problems with the first Dreame 40 Plus Ultra, they switched it out for another, and I'm not telling my grown children, but I finally have a favorite child. :-D I don't EVER want to be without it!

This is one of the best purchases I have made while having 2 kids and a dog. This machine really does the job great. Just put it on a schedule and this will work for you.
