One HUGE flaw

A factory reset every time the battery dies?!? The watch works well, as a whole, but don't EVER let the battery die, or it will complain that it lost connection with your phone. You'd think this may involve just a simple re-pairing, but...no. You factory reset your watch, and then spend the next 4 hours trying to get it reconnected to your phone. This will be the last Samsung product I purchase.

Greetings Will, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy Watch7. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. The Watch7 battery can last for several days before needing to be placed on the charger, depending on your settings and how you use your device. If you're experiencing less than expected battery life on your device, please take a moment to review, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" to learn what factors may be impacting the life of your Watch7 battery. Apps you download and install onto the watch can cause the watch to get stuck in a boot loop or not boot past the logo screen. Rebooting it should fix the problem, but you will need to uninstall any apps that were installed before the issue occurred. If the watch is connected to a phone, you must clear the data for the Galaxy Wearable app. If the problem continues, inspect the watch and charger for damage, and factory reset the watch. Please take a moment to review, "Samsung smart watch stuck in a boot loop" to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance afterward, please feel free to contact Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

Great watch! Great user interface! PLEASE start putting bigger batteries in your watchs. Garmin amoled watches can easily last 2 weeks on a charge and yours maybe 4 days. Thats my only gripe. Thanks for the trade in program too.
I like the looks of the watch, but it won't hold a charge! The battery will run out in less than 10ish hours. The watch won't hold the charge for night which defeats the sleep purpose. I'm sure if the battery issue is resolved I could change my rating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting us, Tom. Your feedback is essential for our ongoing improvements. We noticed that you are experiencing a shortened battery life on your new Watch7. We suggest running a diagnostic on your watch battery. Samsung offers a 12-month limited warranty for manufacturer defects. If your watch is paired with a Samsung phone, you can use Samsung Members to conduct a diagnostic on your watch battery. If the test is successful, you'll know that the battery is in good condition. Check out the link attached for options to increase your battery life. If this persists, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003232/ (battery) smsng.us/Samsung-Support smsng.us/Facebook-Messenger smsng.us/X-Messages smsng.us/Samsung-Community smsng.us/Warranty-Info smsng.us/Samsung-Care-Plus

Shipped wrong band, won't replace.

I think Samsung messed up the pre-order shipment and doesn't want to remedy that. I bought a sport band watch but they sent me a fabric band instead. With hours of phone call with their support team, they still won't get me the sport band. I am not even asking for refund. I just want a sport band. It's a decent watch but the experience ruined it all.

Pathetic battery time. Lasts only 4 to 6 hours after putting everything on battery saving mode. My watch is still at support center for diagnostic. I gave it to center within 15 days time period. I need to see a resolution to this.

Solid device with a couple of caveats

I got this thing about 4 days ago to upgrade from a Fitbit. The first thing I realized that all of you reading might already know is that this is a completely different class of product than a fitness tracker. This is a smart watch which has a lot more features than basic fitness tracking up to and including a constant LTE connection.
The build quality, accessory ecosystem, and functionality are all mostly great. It definitely feels like it's a step above the fit and finish of even Fitbits which are well known brands. It can track pretty much everything that a Fitbit charge 6 can and more. The screen is surprisingly clear and even when dimmed still pops with color and contrast.
Those are all the good things. Now for my main and only issue and how I solved it. The LTE connection, get texts and calls to your watch, stay connected constantly for up to the second live updates, etc. etc. The only problem is that while you CAN do this, it will decimate your battery. With every power saving feature enabled BUT LTE on (that is battery saver, Bluetooth off, AOD off, Wi-Fi off, dimmest screen possible, health tracking off, and a barebones watch face) My battery drained by nearly %15 an hour, which is clearly no sustainable if you work even an 8 hour shift. This battery life on a device that is supposed to stand in for a watch, or even a fitness tracker would be completely unacceptable.
My solution, which dropped my battery usage down to %2-%3 per hour, a much more acceptable range, was to turn on airplane mode the majority of the time and then only turn it off once or twice a day to sync or when I specifically want to use LTE features. This is not ideal as it obviously disables a couple of the main features of an LTE enabled watch like receiving texts or calls and constant connection to your phone. However for my use case it turns the product from basically unusable to totally fine.
All other things being equal or better I find that this is a totally acceptable product, I wish Samsung would release an update allowing you to more deeply customize syncing and features outside of airplane mode (to my knowledge right now the LTE configuration begins and stops with on/off) so that I could set it up to not constantly connect but rather automatically sync data every 30 minutes to an hour and completely disable more connection heavy features like constantly checking for new calls/texts. In this way I could not even have to worry about syncing but also have usable amounts of battery life for 1-2 days.

A solid upgrade from the GW4

Super happy with the purchase of The Galaxy Watch 7 44mm LTE model that I upgraded from my Previous GW4-44mm LTE. The GW7 is a major upgrade with screen real estate (minimal bezels on the 7 compared to the 4), brightness is superb especially outdoors in the bright sun, battery life has been solid, the rubber style watch band it comes with is easy on my skin BUT, like most rubber watch bands, it's a little too tight on the skin especially when working out. The watch Itself has been comfortable to wear to bed and throughout the day with no issues, and so far, the watch has not over-heated like my previous GW4 would.
I'm excited to keep using this on the daily, I will update in the future as I use this more and get more familiar with its features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

VERY POOR BATTERY LIFE and INACCURATE TRACKING

I purchased my watch for the features. However I am unable to use all the features of my choice at all times. The battery DIES within 24 hours of usage. Samsungs resolution to this issue is for the customer NOT to use all features all the time. It's very frustrating because that is the reason I purchased the watch to USE ALL of the FEATURES. The other issue I have is the accuracy of steps and pulse. Sometimes the inaccurate information won't update until the next day or after hard reset or update. I am using the tracking to have real time info. I want so bad to LOVE my watch not just tolerate it since I've spent my money on it.
