Pages won't stay down without holding th

No matter how I bend the notebook back it will not let the pages lay flat without holding them so I have had to use a paperclip to hold the page or as soon as I lift my hand it flips back to the first page. Just a annoying.

Composition book

Every year we donate 250 of these books to two schools. The teachers have the kids use them for journals of each days they attend school. The teachers like having it all in one book. They turn them in every week. When they look back over the year they can see how their views have changed.

These notebooks had a hard card stock cover in the past. The new flimsy design is inferior. They should go back to the former sturdier design.

Outstanding notebook and paper quality

As of this writing Staples makes two series of notebooks one made in Srilanka and one made in the USA. This one the one made in Srilanka is affordable and yet the paper quality is excellent. (Don't buy the one made in the US.) The paper doesn't bleed; ink feathering is minimal; and ink dries quickly on the page. (Fountain-pen friendly.) I bought a ton of these just in case Staples drops this particular manufacturer.

Excellent notebooks at an exceptional price. I bought a number of the notebooks and donated them to a women's shelter to give to the women for the classes they provide. They were very grateful.
