Everybody of a certain age remembers the marrble covered composition books we used to get. Hard cardboard covers that could stand up to the abuse of being schlepped around school and sewn in paper that wouldn't come out if your life depended on it. Well those things are gone. These notebooks are fine. The paper is fine. The covers are floppy and useless but the fact of the matter is that nobody seems to make those hard cardboard covered notebooks anymore. So you take what you can get.
