Why are these non-perforated???

I ordered TEN of these notebooks recently only to discover that the pages are NOT PERFORATED. I don't understand why the exact same notebook wide-ruled has perforations while the college-ruled version does not. It doesn't even mention that the notebooks are non-perforated until the last line under specifications. I had assumed that practically all college-ruled notebooks would be perforated did not think I would need to dig into product specifications. What is the point of having pre-hole punched pages if they can not be easily torn out? If I try to put the pages in my binder it looks terrible and messy. The notebooks that I purchased are now essentially useless to me.
