Made of paper and terrific for pen or pencil. Requires no battery or electronics. May require artificial lighting to use when it would be otherwise dark. Seriously I'd much rather write my thoughts ideas and lists and take the notebook with me and sit quietly reviewing or writing outside and not be encumbered with my smart-this or smart-that while doing that. A notebook sized like this is just fine for my needs.
