Bought two happy with both

First one came with wheels attached. Second one didn't. Fortunately I make it a habit to have the store unpack it (I used the ship to store option). I complained and a salesman found a screwdriver and put the wheels. It didn't seem difficult but when it says "factory installed casters" that's what I expect. I wouldn't store money or other valuables in these but the work fine for files.

I bought two of these Staples mobile pedestal files to replace an office-quality two-drawer lateral file that would not fit into my new home office. Amazingly they were at my front door in less than 24 hours. The quality far exceeds my expectations. Better than name brand files at twice the price. Smooth drawer operation. Counter-balanced so no tipping when full drawers are open. Hidden casters roll easily. Locking drawers for privacy. I am very happy with this purchase and so impressed with Staples' price and service.

Returned the "el -cheapo" file for this one. Unit is solid smooth running has anti-stopover counter weight and rolls on hidden casters. Very pleased. So glad I returned the cheap unit.

This file cabinet is great and sturdy. The reason it is 4 and not 5 stars is because when we received it it was dented from shipping. Thankfully we have a great rep that helped us get a discount for the dent. The cabinet is great because we bought it especially to be able to roll it from one office to another because as most of you know it is slightly annoying when you have to keep going back to someone else's office in order to use the files that you need. It comes already to use I didn't have to install the wheels which is a huge bonus.

Overall quality is excellent. It stands up to everyday use. My two negative comments are: 1) the unit tends to roll forward because you can't lock the casters. It is quite bothersome when you have one of the drawers out and it starts to roll foward and 2) you have to be very careful when opening the top drawer because the cabinet tips forward. I had to put some small pieces of wood in front of the front casters so it wouldn't roll. It would be helpful to have some type of counterbalance on the back so the cabinet does not tip so easily.
