This was sold to me at a S. Jacksonville FL store and my husband and I were told that it would need assembly for which Staples charged an extra $100 per File Cabinet. I bought two cabinets. We did not open the box until the assembly technician arrived as I did not want any small parts misplaced. When the technician opened the boxes we saw that contrary to what we were told in the store the cabinets had been delivered fully assembled. I thought Staples had their own assembly company as it was called Staples National Assembly. Come to find out it was the same National Assembly company we used for other furniture. This company asks that the customer name three days as well as morning and afternoon when customer will be available. In Jacksonville we have found that once we name days and times and pay for assembly no one calls to schedule an appointment which I have been told they are supposed to do. Instead twice I have called on the last scheduled day. When I called this AM I was informed that technician would arrive between 3-5 PM contrary to the 8 AM-12 noon time I had been granted. I complained and a technician arrived about 1 PM. That is when we discovered that no assembly was needed. I have not yet addressed this issue with the store manager at Staples # 1884 Mandarin but intend to ask that the $200 assembly fee we paid at the store be refunded as we were misinformed. Once the damaged bottom drawer is replaced I hope this will be a good product as it was highly rated by other customers.

The file cabinet is tinny and cheap and came damaged. The recessed base was buckled. I have returned and would not get another.
