When I took my girlfriend's high schooler shopping for this semester she chose this filler for two of her binders. I ended up helping her set up her stuff that evening and I loaded the binders for her. This paper separated well and felt and looked good to write on. She has been pleased with the pencils and has not "lost" one yet! I think there's a real chance she'll make these last most if not all the school year - THAT would make these pencils a great looking and great value...Another Sure Winner!
College ruled paper is essential for my grandchildren now considering their ages. The paper is of good quality and they have never complained about the quality being inadequate in any fashion.
It's so hard to find filler paper that is a full 8.5 x 11 like regular letter-sized printer paper. I am a homeschooling mom (with students in 6th 8th and 11th grades) and like to see their notebooks orderly. It is so much easier when all their entries projects & essays are the same size. I also like the 400 sheets/pack quality of the paper and great price - since I purchased it on sale. :)
Overall this paper is of decent quality. It takes both graphite and ink well and rarely fades. The main problem is recycled paper does not have the feel and quality of new paper. It is thinner and lacks the durability of virigin paper. There is an almost unnoticable hint of the chemicals used to recycle the paper that lingers in the air after opening the packaging. I would recommend this paper for home school and school note taking use but not for anything of a professional nature.
