The file cabinet arrived days ahead of time which I really appreciate. However I did exactly what the recommendation(s) said. I ensured that my papers and handing folders were evenly balanced in the top and bottom drawers to avoid the file cabinet from tipping over due to unbalancing. Well the file cabinet seemingly is "able" to be tipped over by a 1 year 11 month old toddler although the contents are balanced!!!! And to make matters worse the lock is practically "just for show." The same toddler tugged on the bottom drawer handle... and just like that the drawers both came open and almost toppled over on him!!!! And the lock latch was still in lock position imagine that!!!!!! If I knew then what I know now I would have kept searching for a more reliable file cabinet...ugh!

Within first week bottom drawer is out of alignment. Can't pull door out at all. Very Cheaply Made. Wish I never Purchased it.

This file cabinet is fine for the price. It is moderately sturdy and the drawers work smoothly as does the lock. It certainly is not anywhere as sturdy and well-made as file cabinets made by a company like Steelcase. It would not hold up well in any fire and could be forced open even if locked. So it works for keeping files that one does not want to secure well.
