The cabinet is not heavy but very steady when you open and close it. Also the drawers move in and out very smoothly and quiet. The drawer depth is perfect for the maximum amount of files that I needed it for. Excellent quality for a very good price! the cabinet showed up dented from shipping and the entire thing is flimsy and bends when you move it. Not a quality item.

This cabinet serves my purpose as a personal file cabinet. However if if it was meant for a professional setting it is not sturdy enough to handle heavy use. The sales person who assisted me pointed this out but as I said it is just for personal use.
