Since I've moved I need to get organized. The filing cabinet I had held hanging file folders. This filing cabinet is specifically designed for those. Is that true of all filing cabinets now? The most difficult thing was attaching the handles. The screws were too small and it was somewhat awkward to secure them. Otherwise this filing cabinet fits the bill.
Perfect for a Small Home Office for long term low traffic storage. Not for heavy office use. Don't use it as a table. It's cheap it's basic it's a file cabinet. If you want full extension drawers and something you can park a Commercial Use Copier on get a Hirsh or Hon Cabinet. Mine holds all my music books and extra/old sheet music the drawers slide decent and fully loaded it seems a lot more stable. It holds stuff and you can't beat them for [$].
This cabinet was easy to put together. The look of it is not bad either. The drawers open with ease and I like that it does not require the metal hanging rod it is built into the drawer itself. The only thing that is bad about it is that it is so light weight. I have a small child and she almost pulled it on herself so if you have small kids keep an extra eye on them when they are around it. Other than that it was a great investment
