Disappointed!

I bought two of these filing cabinets thinking I was getting a bonus price! I was so disappointed in these cabinets. They felt very cheap was most difficult getting the handles on them and one of them was bent as it came out of the packaging and as a result would not close well or easily. I find them to be very flimsy and one has to be so careful in opening the drawers as they tip so easily. I was surprised that the keys to lock the drawers are intechangeable from one cabinet to another. How safe and secure is that! I will be more discriminate in future buying.

I PURCHASED THIS FILING CABINET FOR MY PERSONAL USE AT MY HOME. IT IS VERY STURDY AND THE DRAWERS OPEN VERY SMOOTHLY. IT HAS AMPLE SPACE FOR ALL OF MY NEEDED FILING. IT IS LIGHT ENOUGH THAT I CAN MOVE IT MYSELF WITH NO PROBLEMS. I ONLY WISH THAT IT CAME WITH WHEELS....THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT EVEN EASIER TO MOVE AROUND AS NEEDED. I DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICE SPACE IN MY APARTMENT. I STORE THE CABINET IN MY WALK-IN CLOSET AND BRING IT OUT TO MY DINING ROOM WHEN I AM WORKING ON MY FILES. SO IF IT DID HAVE THE WHEELS THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IN MORE CONVENIENT BUT AS I SAID IT IS LIGHT ENOUGH THAT IT CAN MOVED EASILY.

Cabinet for hanging files

Light-weight cabinet made of thin metal so it may ding easily in a high traffic area. Bottom is flat without rubber feet or rollers. Drawers are set to use hanging files. Simple key lock provided. I ordered two cabinets and both use the same key. Website description was accurate for dimensions.

Great Buy!

I had been looking for a file cabinet for at least a year. But I was not willing to spend anything above $60 bucks. I just happen to be in a Staples store and saw this "great buy" priced at $29.99!! I love the fact that is has a lock and key and it is pretty sturdy. However the only snafoo in the design is the metal piece at the top of the inside of the drawer. If you have hanging folders that go all the way to the back when you reach your hand in and try to pull them forward the space is so tight there is a metal piece that can scrap the top of your hand! Not good!! If you're careful it won't be a problem but the company should really fix this. I love everything about this cabinet but that. www.servicelinguistics.com

This cabinet was purchased as an addition to two other cabinets. A plus factor is the pentaflex rails are already in the drawers so there is no need to purchase separate frames.
