Bought this to organize some product catalogs for our business. Unless you plan to put a few file folders and a few sheets of paper don't waste your time with this. I undertand why they don't have a floor display to look at first. No one would ever buy if they were able to see and touch it first. Thin flimsy construction. A lock that a 5 year old could break into. Doors would not open becuase of the weight of the catalogs to the point they caused the walls of the cabinet to buckle yet no problem with another file cabinet I had to move them all too.
I bought one of these two drawer files after we leased out our home and left all the office furniture for the tenant. However this left us with 1/4 the file space we had previously. We moved into our beautiful RV that had just been gathering dust since we bought our last home in 2006 and built a Rubbermaid Shed to house all the stuff from our home-based business. After buying the first file cabinet I returned to Staples and purchased a second one and stacked the two of them to save even more space. No problem lifting them myself.
This is the perfect filing cabinet for my two teenaged boys who just redid their bedrooms with built-ins etc. The file cabinet is a great color for my "hip" guys and is just the right size to hold their growing collection of files. Finally they can be organized without breaking the bank to get them there! I really appreciate the color sleek hip look simple design and size of the cabinet. It was really easy to slip in under their built-in desks. We went from having piles of paper and not knowing where anything was to being super organized! Yay!
Barely able to fit manila folders into drawers. Will tip over when attempting to fill upper files without first filling the lower one. Drawers only come out about half way so access to rear files is basically impossible. Mine was purchased at a Staples store and still had a ding in the metal on top of when I opened the box. Flimsy construction. I returned it.
