Excellent value

I was a bit worried when I read the reviews that possibly it would be too flimsy and wondered what I would do if the handles were a problem. Not to worry. The handle problem has apparently be dealt with my the manufacturer. I had zero problem putting them on. The cabinet itself fits perfectly under my desk and the cabinet itself is sturdy enough. I recommend this file cabinet without reservation.

Bought the cabinets because the price was right. I usually purchase any kind of furniture with design appeal in mind. Didn't this time because I was looking for a price bargain. The bargain came with some inconvenience namely having to attach the draw handles myself. The screws didn't sink into the pre-drilled holes in the handles as easily as one could wish for. So it was a struggle...but worth it in the long run. I like that the files hang on built-in ledges rather than strips of metal that can come loose or fall off their anchors so that one has to remove the files re-hang the metal strips then re-hang the files. That's a big plus. The drawers pull in and out easily. Also the weight of the units was light enough that I could get the cabinets from the front door to the study (requiring mounting stairs) fairly easily. They're a good buy.

2 drawer File with Lock

This is an inexpensive way to hold files with minimal security. The cabinet itself is a light rolled steel. This is O.K. for the quality and job intended. It will do the job intended and maintain your files in a reasonable order if this is how you choose to set them up. Very light and Lock leaves a lot to be desired.
